1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Stray Anchor Pty Ltd (ABN 22 700 917 111), which runs Billflation. "You" means you and the business whose Xero organisation you connect. By connecting Xero or using Billflation, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

2. What Billflation does

Billflation reads supplier bills and credit notes from your Xero organisation, with read-only access, and estimates how the prices you pay have changed over time. It's offered as a free scan and a paid plan. Billflation never changes anything in Xero and never contacts your suppliers.

3. Your account

• You must be 18 or older and allowed to connect the Xero organisation you choose.
• You sign in through Xero, so keep your Xero login secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• One Billflation account connects one Xero organisation.

4. The results are estimates, not advice

Billflation works out price changes from your bills using automated rules. Bills can be misleading: descriptions change, pack sizes change, some amounts follow usage, and some bills are entered inconsistently. We flag results we're less sure of and leave them out of the headline number, but any result may be incomplete or wrong.

Check the bills behind a result before you act on it. Billflation doesn't give financial, legal, tax or purchasing advice, and you're responsible for your decisions and for what you say to your suppliers.

5. The paid plan

• The paid plan costs A$19 a month, in Australian dollars, including GST. You'll see the price before you pay.
• It's billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from Settings. You keep paid features until the end of the period you've paid for; after that your account moves to the free plan.
• We don't refund part-periods, except where the law requires it (see "Your rights under Australian law").
• If we change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal at the new price.
• If a payment fails and isn't fixed, your account moves to the free plan.

6. The free plan

The free plan includes the features described on our pricing page. We may change what it includes, and we'll give notice of any change that takes something away.

7. Using Billflation fairly

Please don't:

• try to get at another customer's data, or at parts of Billflation you're not meant to reach;
• overload, disrupt, copy, reverse engineer or resell the service;
• use it for anything unlawful.

Share cards and emails: share cards hide supplier names by default. You're responsible for what you share and for any email you send using a draft from Billflation. Don't use them to make false or misleading claims about a supplier.

8. Your data

Your data stays yours. You let us use it only to provide Billflation to you, as described in our privacy policy. You can disconnect or delete it at any time from Settings.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Billflation available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features over time, and we'll tell you about changes that significantly reduce what your paid plan includes.

10. Ending your use

You can stop at any time by disconnecting Xero or deleting your data in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, doesn't pay, or puts the service or other customers at risk; where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

11. Your rights under Australian law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded, including the consumer guarantees. Where the law lets us limit our liability for a failure to meet a guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

12. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or savings, or loss arising from decisions made using Billflation's estimates, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This doesn't limit anything in the section above.

13. Intellectual property

We own Billflation's software, design and content. You own your data and anything you create with it, such as edited email drafts.

14. Other services

Billflation connects to Xero and uses Stripe for payments; their own terms apply to your use of them. Xero is a trademark of Xero Limited. Billflation isn't made, endorsed or supported by Xero.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email you before it takes effect. Using Billflation after that means you accept the new terms.

16. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and the courts of Western Australia can hear any dispute. Questions? Email [email protected].
